Comments: Critical edition. Original key of G. This edition of the aria Zefiretti, che sussurrate RV 749.31 by Antonio Vivaldi is transcribed from the composer’s original autograph score (referred to as MS hereon) held at the Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino. The manuscript is found in Collection VI of Foà 28, a compilation of arias and other vocal works for use in the composer’s own operas. Zefiretti, che sussurrate was used as the basis of the aria “Onde chiare che sussurrate” in the opera Ercole sul Termodonte RV 710 in 1723 – the textual alterations are evident in the manuscript as later annotations by the composer.
